Christopher J Pizzi

Background

I have had a long-time interest in computer programming. From writing toy BASIC programs on a TRS-80 to selling my first software at age 14 through now, computers have always fascinated me.

I have developed my career around understanding business opportunities and realizing them through the application of technology. I have worked through all aspects of the projects I have been involved in, from gathering requirements and planning through execution and ongoing support. Although I have often worked alone in the technical aspects of my jobs, I am no stranger to teamwork. I have worked closely with my managers and non-technical stakeholders to understand what a project requires and how it fits into the overall context of a business.

I am seeking out new opportunities because my entire department at my current emplyer, National In-Store, is being outsourced. I have been asked to continue my work with them as a contractor to effect a smooth transition of RetailStream, their premier data acquisition and reporting system, and to continue to work on special projects to help meet clients’ needs.

To continue to serve National In-Store and other clients I have started my own software development and consulting business, Suncoast Dataware. I am available for short-term projects, longer-term corp-to-corp contract work, and full-time employment.

My customers can depend on me to exhibit the same inquisitiveness and dedication to making their organization succeed. I desire to be instrumental in developing their business, not just their software.
